This detached, listed Farmhouse and Stable dates back to the 1700�s and has been beautifully restored while retaining many character features. It once stood alone on the brow of the hill overlooking Chesil Beach and The Fleet. The three small windows in the side elevation were reputed to have been used for signalling to smugglers. The property is now in a residential area but some upper windows retain views over The Fleet and Chesil Beach and towards Portland. About three hundred metres from the property a footpath gives access down to The Fleet nature reserve. Weymouth is a bustling seaside town famous for its beautiful sandy bay. The town centre lies about two and a half miles from this property and includes the old harbour area where there are numerous pubs restaurants and other attractions. Ground Floor There is a spacious hall giving access to the other rooms. The lounge has an open fire TV and video. There is also an open fire in the dining room. The kitchen has a stone floor and beamed ceiling and has been fully modernised and refitted and includes a breakfast area. At one end of the kitchen there is access to a small room fitted as a bar area once believed to have been part of a stable block and featuring a stone pillar that supports the roof in the middle of the room. There is also a downstairs cloakroom and a separate shower room WC. A door from the kitchen gives access to an enclosed south facing garden with patio and lawned areas equipped with BBQ and patio furniture. First Floor The master bedroom has a five foot double bed and en-suite WC and shower room. There are four other bedrooms one with double bed and three with twinned beds. One twin bedded room is most unusual with a step down as you enter and three steps up to one end of the room creating split-level accommodation. Family bathroom with bath and separate shower. There is an additional through room with one of the doubles that contains a full size cot and 3ft.bed (for+1). Electricity and gas central heating included.
